Break into Summer

Watch Northwest Bboys and Bgirls test their skills against each other in this exhilarating 2 v. 2 dance contest featuring an exhibition battle between Palmer and a surprise guest. Battle judge Vital will give a showcase performance and help Soul Felons crew members Luis and King Reds decide who will win the final round and claim the $3,000 cash prize. DJ Disast3r of BreakTUFF crew will take the decks for the battle and the dance party to follow. Spectators can meet Graffiti artists King Khazm and Angelina Villalobos of 206 Zulu, and watch for West Coast Poppers/Animators Bloom and Kristina N-B on the dance floor Saturday night! Join the Soul Felons on October 2nd and experience live Hip Hop culture at its best!

Break into Summer
is a program of 5th Element Project, a community education project funded through Mellon dollars designated for Community Based Learning and Research Initiatives. 5th Element is supported by Walla Walla Music Organization, Soul Felons, 206 Zulu, Whitman College Department of Theater and Dance, and Whitman College.

Ticket Sales Change

Harper Joy Theater will only be offering tickets online or at our Box Office window ninety minutes prior to performances.

COVID-19 Vaccination Proof Policy

In accordance with State of Washington guidance for institutes of higher education, Whitman College is a fully vaccinated campus community. As such, all visiting audience members must show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon entrance to any event at Harper Joy Theater by showing a government issued photo ID and vaccination card.

These protocols are subject to change at the discretion of the college in response to the evolving pandemic circumstances.
